Sexy headphones are a hot trend this year, but nothing's sexier than going wireless. Sennheiser is cutting the cord and going completely wireless with the MX W1 wireless earphones being shown here at CES. These are the first true wireless earphones available today.

I spent some time with them on the show floor and found they weren't Bluetooth earphones as I had originally suspected. In fact, the MX W1s use a special technology developed by Kleer that consumes less power. To keep them from falling off your ears, the untethered MX W1 earphones have a twist-to-fit system that keeps them put, and when they're off your ears, you can stow them away in a case that works as a transmitter and also recharges them. What's nice about them is that you and four other MX W1 users can share the same audio stream. The headphones will retail for $600 and be available starting May 2008.

pretty cool but a little to expensive for any average consumer to consider. Can't wait to see these in like 5-10 years when price is dropped considerably.

WAY too expensive. I thought Bose was over the top with their $100 ear buds, but at least they sound outstanding (though they don't stay in your ears when you run).
