If you use your iPhone all day long to surf the Web, watch videos, and play music it probably runs out of juice quite often. To prolong your battery power, you either need to recharge it a couple of times a day or hook it up to a portable charging unit like FastMac's iV iPhone Battery Pack. FastMac was showing off the rubberized battery pack at Macworld this week, which Gizmodo says will add four times as much battery time to the iPhone.
The battery pack clips on to the back of your iPhone, and stays put to charge both devices at the same time when docked. The back of the iV external battery case features a built-in LED light that doubles as a flash and a flashlight, a belt clip that rotates to work as an iPhone stand, and a USB port that can charge other devices. It's probably not something every iPhone owner needs, but if you happen to be an iPhone superuser, $80 might be a small price to pay for the extra battery power.

This thing only makes the iphone bulkier and heavier. I bought an extended battery off eBay that works like a charm and I don’t have to tote it on my side all day long. Came with data cable, charger and ipod/iphone adapter. 32 hours of video should speak for itself and it was $42 with shipping. You don’t have to worry about the belt clip breaking and either having to order another belt clip or throwing the battery/holster in a draw to catch dust with the rest of the unused electronics that didn’t work out. You can buy 2 for the price of one. Just my 2 pennies, I mean 4,200 pennies!
whens it coming out
This may be a great product, but FastMac doesn't seem to care much about customer service. I placed my order on 12 February and have written them twice regarding order status. They have never responded. Currently my order status says "backordered", but no clue as to shipping date. Perhaps they should rename the company to 1/2FastMac.
