ELLE's GlamPhone

It's not fashion, until a fashion magazine says so.

ELLE is bringing the GlamPhone to American girls starting next month, after setting hearts a-flutter in Europe. Not only do you get to pick between a red or black version (although more colors are available in Europe), but you also get a one-year subscription to ELLE Magazine.

But is it worth it? Not unless you think touting a mirror-screen as a major feature is a good sign. And lets see, a VGA camera? No thanks. Unique carry strap? Not unless you think sashaying around with a cell phone around your neck suddenly became chic.

Other specs include: SMS, MMS messaging, internal antenna, 3MB memory, 6 hour talktime and is only available for GSM network subscribers such as T-Mobile or Cingular.

I'm not 100 percent sold on this model, especially with a scandalous pricetag of $180. I think the GlamPhone has the potential of attracting young gals, but only if they lower the price.

But what do I know. You tell me, do you like it?

first...the phone is ugly...i dont want a pink phone with an E on it...second for $180 it better do something cool. I have LG's new slider and that was not even $100. Way to over priced...and who wants a mirror on the screen of their phone? For $180 it better have some pretty cool things on the phone.

I agree, this phone is nothing special, I'd rather just have the magazine lol. I'm going to stick to the cute little t-mobile phone I already have, that is cuter but didn't cost $180

personaly i think its crap and the price 180 dollers thats outragious.also anyone that knows anything about telecoumnications knows that cingular and t mobile are 2nd rate companies and have crapie equpment. but then again most ppl do not know that. incase you dont know good networks are sprint and verizon they use top rate equpment and update it with every bit of new technoligy that comes along. but anyways back to the phone and the features that make it somewhat different is a mirror is that rele worth 100 dollers? i mean you could probly get a phone like that one for less than 50 maybe even free with 2 year activation fee. anyways this is just my opinion.

Its doesnt seem like all too bad of a phone, but it really doesnt look all that special either. The strap seems kind of a waste, since most people I know just stick them in their purses or pockets. I have seen way cooler and more inexpesive phones that I would be far more likely to buy than a silly little pink phone with an E on it, that probably has limited options when it comes to a plan or changeing anything on it to make it more your own. I mean, if we want a boring generic phone with limited minutes and service, we can get them without paying $180 dollars.
