Going wireless or using gear that's completely hands-free is always a plus, but the latest accessory to go hands-free is not exactly something we'd expect. Rain is the one thing we've been getting plenty of this winter season here in the Bay Area. So much so that I now keep an umbrella in the car, the garage, and my backpack just in case.
Ubergizmo caught on to a new trend in umbrellas that only geeky types can look forward to.
Called the Nubrella, this new hands-free plastic bubble sits on your shoulders, and shields you from the cold rain so you can keep talking on your phone or doing whatever you need to be doing in the rain. Not only does the Nubrella sound like something Barbarella would've been sporting in the 60's, but it also looks like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. The best part is the Nubrella is actually available for purchase here in America and retails for $60. Bet you didn't see that coming. What you think? Is Nubrella a hit or miss?

OK, so it's not the strangest invention. and by all means not too original ( if anyone could remember the hat umbrellas). It looks practical enough, but how is it against winds? Will it fly off? big cities have strong drafts usually, i being toronto myself. How easy will it be to put on. Will i take 3 minutes trying to put it on like an idiot, as opposed to pushing a single buttong that unleashes a couple of square feet of coverage. What about the acumilation of moisture withing the Nubrella?
