The Oscars were awarded last night, but two have yet to be given: Best and Worst Looking Star in HD. That's why I've compiled a list of stars the HD cameras loved at the Oscars last night—and you know those cameras don't lie. I'd like to thank my handy-dandy TiVo HD and my Sony Bravia because without them, I wouldn't have been able to catch every detail on the glamorous dresses or those over-the-top expressions after a fellow nominee wins (I'm talking to you Cate Blanchett!). I have to say that putting this list together wasn't easy, but it was a lot of fun. So without further adieu, here are the nominees for Best Looking Oscar Star in HD....
George Clooney: There's no doubt Clooney, like wine, gets better with age. The handsome Best Actor nominee still looks great in high-definition, and I say still because many seem to blame age as the number one high-def detractor. The camera seems to be very kind to the 46-year-old actor despite the fact his wrinkles were more noticeable in HD. Last night, Clooney had every hair in place, his suit looked immaculate, and his lovely girlfriend made him look 10 years younger. He may have lost the Oscar to Daniel Day-Lewis, but boy does he look good in HD.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson: I don't know why seeing "The Rock" at the Oscars struck me as a bit strange, but there he was looking very handsome in front of the HD cameras. I'd love to know what he eats, because his skin looks fantastic. It still baffles me how some men just look great without any makeup or surgery. Don't you just hate that?
Katherine Heigl: The HD camera loves Katherine Heigel. She looked stunning in a one-shouldered red dress and a Marilyn-Monroe-esque hair style that added a much needed touch of that old Hollywood glamour. My only recommendation for beautiful actresses like Heigl is to lay off the makeup. Ms. Heigl was wearing entirely too much makeup she didn't need. Her forehead looked darker than the rest of her body, and her blush was too red and uneven. Could the excess have something to do with the fact that she was presenting the Achievement in Makeup Award?
Jon Stewart: Jon was great last night, wasn't he? It was apparent the man was wearing a little bit of make-up, but he looked pretty good for his age.
Nicole Kidman: Nicole was probably one of the most stunning presenters of the night. She just seemed to glow like no other star at the Oscars, and it was definitely because of her flawless complexion, and not the brilliant, 7,645-diamond necklace she was wearing.
Cate Blanchett: I don't know if Cate looked radiant last night because she's pregnant or because she's simply a natural beauty. You know a woman is confident about the way she'll look in HD when she sports a no fuzz hair-do, barely any makeup, and short fingernails with no polish, but she pulled it off. I literally paused the program, and watched her Art Direction presentation frame by frame, and I still couldn't find any real flaws. There's something to say about an actress who gets nominated twice for an Oscar, yet keeps her appearance simple down to the last detail.
Jennifer Hudson: When Jennifer presented the award for Best Supporting Actor, I couldn't help noticing a few stretch marks running down her arms, but that's HD for you. Aside from that, I thought she looked wonderful in that white gown, and her hair and make-up looked flawless. What do you think?
Marion Cotillard: I had never heard of Marion Cotillard until last night, but the second I saw clips of her as Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose," I knew she was going to be a winner. It must've taken makeup artists hours to make her look like an older Edith, because this natural beauty barely needs makeup to be Oscar-ready. This is one 32-year-old that looks gorgeous in HD and is someone we hope to see more of in the future.
Jessica Alba: Jessica always looks great in high-definition, but last night, she just had that pregnant glow. The girl looks gorgeous for being in her third trimester, and everything she wore just worked—all the way from her hair down to her Jimmy Choos.
Anne Hathaway: She simply looked perfect. Her makeup was light, the color of her dress was very flattering, and her skin looked flawless. She is definitely an HD hottie.
And the winner is....
I have to say Nicole Kidman wins this round. I couldn't stop staring at the woman and her freakishly smooth skin. I guess those Botox injections really paid off.
What do you think? Who do you think looked great in high-definition?

There's all sorts of pretty girls in Hollywood, naturally. But in my opinion, only one beautiful actress and that's Nicole. She was a knockout long before botox hit the scene, went through some painful times, and has come through a winner. She glows with happiness these days - you go girl! As far as detractors go, this is a business full of pitiful wannabees and jealous have beens. To have a laugh, watch the so called style experts on TV - what rocks do they find these characters under? These remarks are just my opinion, but will add this, I admire the way Nicole lives her life - ladylike with plenty of gumption!
Tilda Swinton was the most beautiful woman there. And she didn't makeup. Nicole Kidman looked like a fake plastic doll.
Wow wonder how intel was ever to compete with AMD with the dual processors teck. and to be able to do all this work in such a short time.Shall we ask the hack reporters and their hack mascott Scott this or that! What really disappoints me is that a mid 30 year old just beat the ----- out of the baby boomers, cheating and theif but as the media lives its just up their alley.. Say have you heard this before Wow we just had 15 million custmer thru our site last month. I find it quite interesting people take this so seriously and 'sound off' about American's being so rude bla bla bla - basically if we're so rude then why comment at all and all know that Europeans trash Americans all the time. Here's a thought stay out of our country and we'll stay out of yours!
What's not to love? 15 or 17 inch screen, under 7 pounds, Intel Core 2 Duo processor that runs both ...

Americans are as pathetic in taste and fashion as in socialite verbatim. Over dress with heavy colors and shape ,the talking is the same. You give a bad dress note to Swinton because you take a girl in pink bikini in front of a pink corvette still for a good picture ! She had the best dress. Poor americans and their cinema only talking about the vast empty land and the madness of violence for fortune.
