Remember when I told you there is no text messaging privacy in an earlier post? Well, here's further proof that there really isn't. The UK's Telegraph says a gadget sold through Brickhouse Security can retrieve deleted text messages and cell phone contacts stored on your phone's SIM card. The website asks visitors: "Have you ever wished you can spy on your wife, husband, teens, or an employer who needs to see what someone is up to?"
The gadget could be useful when backing up information stored in your mobile, but paranoid types who want to keep their spouse or teen on a short leash, can use the reader to spy on their cell phone habits. According to the site, all you have to do is insert the SIM card into the spy reader, and use the software to create a back up of all the information stored in the cell phone, and that includes deleted text messages and the last ten numbers that were dialed.
The SIM Card Spy retails for $149, and works with most SIM cards, although this is not guaranteed. Yet another reason to get an iPhone.
