How do run a successful marketing campaign for your company, while giving really rich people another reason to spend their money? You bling the newest, hottest gadget around! I've covered luxury gadgets before (see links below), but the latest one comes from Bling My Thing who was daring enough to decorated the super-light, super-slim MacBook Air with 12,000 Swarovski crystals, all of which have a 24-carat gold surface that gives them that extra shine.

The folks over at Born Rich say Bling My Thing calls the new creation "Golden Age," only 20 will be produced since it takes a week to apply all those crystals to the lid of the computer by hand. With all those swanky crystals arranged in that beautiful elaborate design the value of the $3,000 notebook actually increases to $40,000. The golden laptop is currently on display at CeBit 2008 in Germany, and only one will be sold at Selfridges in London.

Most Expensive Gadgets:

Vertu's $88,300 Diamond Phone
$40,000 Diamond Covered iPod Shuffle
iPods With a Midas Touch ($10,000 iPod Shuffle)
A Geek's Status Symbol ($355,000 laptop)

It's the dumbest thing I could ever imagine. It's the worse that could happen to an ultrathin and ultraportable laptop. This looks really awful, the great 'airy' design is actually ruined! This must be called the MacBook Au? http://www.maconair.com/the_39750_macbook_air %

Shouldn't the first thing that anybody checks before publishing an article is for grammar errors? I would think so but it looks like the grammar checker was caught sleeping on the job. The first sentence should go something like this, "How do YOU run a successful marketing...." That is too funny.
