Not satisfied with your current point-and-shoot camera? Maybe it's time to replace it. Newer models are now cheaper, and come with many useful features like high-definition video recording, touch-screens, geo-tracking, and smile, blink, and face detection. Robin has a nice breakdown of all the types of features you can expect in new models this year on this post.
The latest point-and-shoot comes from Olympus. The company is releasing a limited edition white Mju 1020 digital camera with only 5,000 units available for those who like to make a bold fashion statement. To liven up the camera's front, the Mju 1020 will be bundled with three very colorful and unique skins designed by Romanian artist Matei Apostolescu for a quick makeover.
The camera itself is not too shabby either. It's packed with some excellent features like face detection, Panorama functionality, BrightCapture technology for low light shooting, and Dual Image Stabilization to eliminate motion blur. Other features in the 10.1 megapixel digital camera include a 7x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD display, 23 scene modes, and video recording capabilities. What's nice about is an optional underwater case is also available, so you can shoot photos in up to 40 meters of water. Sadly, price has not been mentioned, but I'm sure it won't be anything over $350.
