As if we need another reminder that we're fat, gadgets makers continue to jump
on the fitness bandwagon like it's going out of style. Companies like Nintendo,
Apple, Samsung,
Motorola, and many others are blissfully integrating pedometers, heart-monitors,
sensors, and accelerometers into their gear to attract the fitness conscious
crowd who wants to track their workouts for motivation.
Lucky for casual gamers, Geeksugar
says Ubisoft is releasing a new game for the DS Lite that acts like a personal
trainer and nutritionist.
MyWeight Loss Coach tracks your physical activity
and eating habits, then offers a fitness program based on your profile. It comes
bundled with a pager-like pedometer that you keep on your person throughout
the day, and users who want to see the results can plug in the device into the
DS Lite, which collects and examines all the data stored in the pedometer.
Child obesity is becoming a major problem, so a simple "game" like this one may be a good way to teach kids about maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The game is currently scheduled to be released this summer.
Our team is on it and we should have everything back to normal shortly. Please come back soon.
