It's official, Guitar Hero is coming to the Nintendo DS. Yahoo! Games broke the news regarding Activision's new game called Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS, so now you can take your Guitar Hero skills on the road.
How is this possible, you ask? Red Octane developed a Guitar Grip that plugs into the DS' Game Boy Advance slot to allow players to push one of the fret buttons while they strum the guitar on the touch screen. Meanwhile, players get to see notes sliding by on the left screen, just like in the original game.
The Guitar Grip features four buttons, as opposed to the five buttons on a guitar, and a strap on the back that allows you to hold the Nintendo DS like a book. A stylus in the shape of a guitar pick is also included, and even has its own special storage compartment on the Guitar Grip. Yahoo! Games says the game will feature 20 songs from artists like Nirvana, OkGo, and No Doubt. No price or release date have been announced, but the company wants to release the game this summer. To get a better idea of how this game will work, check out the trailer for the upcoming game over at Yahoo! Games.

This looks like it should be a lot of fun. Can't wait to get my hands on Guitar Hero for my DS. Victoria, comparing an iPhone to a DS like like bowling with a baseball...just doesn't make sense. Why don't you try to read about what's going on before you just post comments.
for sure... ? IPHONE ? duuu and the lights out in the fridge

I love my DS. Better than the PSP I traded in at EB, because of moving parts like the thumbstick. Still, for you "Guitar Heros"...this game is for people with no life. I'll trade all of these high-tech doo-dads, plus the internet, for a world without international terrorism. Even though I have managed to get a few hundred or so mementos and relics from the same good old days that I wish we could go back to.
Sony's Playstation 3 has received a huge amount of hype with its over-the-top high definition graphi ...

The Iphone is the bomb. It is so handy that you don't have to cary around all the phones and the technology that goes with it.
