Playing Rock Band into the wee hours of the night is fun. Getting kicked out
of your apartment for making too much noise? Not so much. Apparently, some Rock
Band fans have received eviction notices for banging too hard on the drums,
so savvy entrepreneurial types are looking for ways to dampen the noise, and make a quick buck in the process.
Rock Band Drum Pads are an elegant alternative for hard core drummers. These foam discs fit inside the black plastic ring of the gray drum pad, and have an adhesive backing that keeps them in place. They're available in black with colored rings, or in color. A package of nine pads will cost you $22.
On the other hand, if you're a crochet-loving Rock Band rocker, maybe you can take a cue from an Etsy seller who knitted Rock Band Drum Kit Cosies to keep the noise level down. FunkieFresh is selling a set of four custom-made drum kit cosies made to perfectly fit over each drum pad. Each cover matches the actual colors on the drum kit, and ties at the bottom to keep them in place. They're a bit pricier at $40, but they're also one-of-a-kind, and something you won't find in stores. At least not yet.
