Need help sticking to your "puff-free" New Year's Resolution? Health action group Tobacco Free Florida is using the extremely addictive Twitter to fight another addiction: smoking. The campaign is appropriately named Qwitter, and according to the site, its purpose is to help you quit smoking by tracking how many cigarettes you smoke each day. Qwitters can also keep a short-note journal to deal with their feelings, and most importantly, they can view their progress over time on a graph chart.

If you have a Twitter account, all you have to do to get started is send a quick note from your mobile or browser to @iquit. So for example, if you smoked three cigarettes before lunch time, you would send Qwitter a tweet that looks like this: @iquit 3. At the end of the day, Qwitter combines all these numbers and posts them on its site. All the information you post is public, so there's a chance your Twitter friends will turn into your support group and help you battle the addiction.
