Sitting in one position all day is bad for your back, so it's good to have a good laptop desk handy to switch things up. We've reviewed a number of laptop desks like the iLap, which allows you to surf the Web laying down or sitting up, and the CushTop which is a lot more aesthetically pleasing, but most laptop desks are not very good at keeping your laptop cool.

LapWorks just introduced a lap desk that's both easy on the eyes and practical. It's called Futura, and it comes in eight colors and patterns that include: Deep Red, Bustin’ Blue, Passion Pink, Tempting Teal, Largely Leopard, Desert Camou, Jungle Camou and Red Marble. The company says they will allow customers to vote for their favorite designs, and winners will be introduced at the end of each month.

To keep the laptop from overheating, Futura features ventilation slots that let hot air rise and escape and is made of heat-conducting plastic that resists heat build-up. Its dual-purpose design allows it fold up into a wedge-shaped stand to keep your notebook cool even when it's sitting on your desk. The colorful Futura laptop coolers retail for $49.95 over at Lapworks.com

I recently purchased stand for my notebook PC that looks and sounds exactly like the one above. It was made my "Targus" and I found it at Wal mart for less than half of what the one above is asking. It makes things much easier on the key board (you can incline it to be on several different heights). Its great keeps the PC cool easy to fit in a note book bag. But I would never pay what these guys are asking from LapWorks. Look around.
