Bluetooth headsets don't have to be boring or ugly. It's obvious that some
headset manufacturers are really trying to make products sleeker and more stylish
to appeal to the rest of us, but it's going to take more than a simple
redesign to change our minds.
I like what Sony Ericsson has done with the HBH-PV712 Style Edition headset. First off, the company did something I haven't seen before, which is add three faceplates that are actually attractive. The interchangeable covers range in colors, so you can be as daring as you want on weekends, or keep it conservative at the office. This is a big plus because having three faceplates means you're not stuck with a color that will eventually bore you to tears. Women love having options, and having the ability to change the headset's color to match an outfit is good enough for me.
What I also like is the size of the headset, because smaller is better when it comes to these type of phone accessories. The Style Edition headset works with any Bluetooth-equipped phone and features auto pairing, last number re-dial, and a fast port connector. From the looks of it, a small bag and a necklace may also be included with the headset. The super feminine Style Edition headset is available online for about $80.
