People love to text, and Jaxtr is taking SMS to an whole new level by offering
free text messaging between 38 countries. Jaxtr is a company that links mobile
phones to the Web allowing users to bypass a carrier's international phone charges.
The service is completely free, and once you've signed up, you can literally
start calling or texting people living in Brazil, the UK, Germany, and many
other countries.
You will need to have a computer to send text messages from a web-based form, but the service works with both landline and mobile phones. Your phone number will remain completely private, which is always good, and those who want to reply to your text messages can do so directly from their mobile or they can save some money by signing up with Jaxtr, and replying to you through their mobile's Web browser.
Small text ads are appended to the message, but hey, you'll at least be saving yourself those small international costs which can be as much as twenty five cents per message. Jaxtr also offers users small widgets they can place on their social networking profiles or blogs, so anyone can get in touch with you no matter where they live in the world. Like I said, this service is free (with ads), so check it out, and let me know how you like it.

Finally! After all the hype I got my hands on the iPhone and, yes, it does live up to all the hoopla ...
