News of the long awaited iPhone 3G dominated the headlines earlier this week, but another story focusing on Steve Jobs' health seems to have taken on a life of its own. Whether the concern expressed by many is genuine or not remains to be seen, but even I was struck by how thin he looked in this CNBC interview.

Jobs' health is still an ongoing topic of conversation online especially since he was treated for a rare form of pancreatic cancer a few years ago and didn't disclose it until after he underwent surgery. I suppose that's what sparked concern among investors and fans this time around.

The LA Times says one tech analyst said his clients were so worried after seeing photos of Jobs from the event, that they even searched the Web for old pictures of him. And they're weren't the only only ones. Vallewag dug deep and found these photos of the CEO's gradual weight loss throughout the years.

Some say his thin appearance may be due to a change in diet, others speculate it might be the cancer coming back, but the reality is he was just recovering from a common bug.

An Apple spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal Jobs was taking antibiotics and was doing just fine. He attended the conference despite being sick because he felt it was important.

Whatever the reasons, I really hope Mr. Jobs is doing well, and can only wish him a speedy recovery.
