Here's something you can get dad after Father's Day to make up for that pair
of socks he pretended to like. If he's a Guitar Hero fan, he's definitely
jonesing for the upcoming Guitar Hero: On Tour package, which consists of a
special-edition Guitar Hero Nintendo DS, the GH game, and the Guitar
Grip I mentioned back in March.
For those who have never heard of Guitar Hero: On Tour, Activision basically created a portable version of game that's compatible with the popular Nintendo DS. The Guitar Grip, which plugs into the DS's Game Boy Advance slot, has color-coded fret buttons you push, and a pick stylus to strum the virtual guitar on the DS's touch screen.
The other screen of the DS will display moving notes for each song, just as in the real game, so players can rock out in career mode, as a band, or in a guitar showdown. You can expect to hear tunes by No Doubt, Nirvana, Blink-182, Jet, and others in this game when it goes on sale June 22 in a black and silver combination.
