Capture videos with a budget HD camcorder

I have a love-hate relationship with my HD AIPTEK handheld camcorder: love the picture, hate the sound. Hopefully, the DXG-567V high-definition camcorder does a better job at both capturing video and sound. Plenty of handheld camcorders are vying for your attention this summer, but in my opinion high-definition pocket camcorders are a way better option because they at least capture high-resolution video.

The video resolution on the DXG-567V HD is 1280 x 720 at 30 frames-per second. Like many competing pocket-camcorders, this one also makes uploading video to your computer easy thanks to a USB connector that flips out for convenience. Those of you who like to clean up your videos before uploading them to YouTube, have the option to do some edits with the included ArcSoft TotalMedia Extreme software, which would normally retail for $99 in stores.

If you prefer to watch your final clips on a bigger screen, you can simply connect the camcorder to your HDTV using the included S-video cable. I'm not crazy about the fact that it runs on AA batteries, but I guess you could always buy rechargeable batteries to save yourself some money in the long run. It's a perfect pocket camcorder for travelers, since it's not much bigger than a cell phone, and it comes in black, red, pink, and blue for your choosing. It's available now for $179.
