It looks like we won't be getting any A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution) Stereo Bluetooth
on the iPhone any time soon, but if you still want to stream music from your
iPod to those wireless headphones of yours, you can do so with the
INFINXX AP23 adapter. Brando
appears to be the only one selling this slim adapter that gives both iPhones
as well as most iPods extra functionality.
The INFINXX AP23 attaches to the bottom of your iPhone/iPod, just like the Nike + iPod Sports dongle does, to stream music from your player to any A2DP compatible devices like wireless headphones or a car stereo. The attachment is extremely light and weighs about five grams, so it's excellent for sports or other activities.
Apparently, it also supports remote control functions, flashes LED lights to show connection status, and doesn't require charging or batteries to work. It's a little pricey at $62, but for now this is the only way to stream music from your iPod to your A2DP gadgets.
