Will Simpson mania ever die down? I don't think so. The Simpsons Shop is now selling limited edition iPods engraved with Simpsons licensed artwork so you can "catch up on Simpsons episodes anywhere" (as if you couldn't do that before).

Fans of the show can choose from three custom designs such as "Bart Sk8," "Homer Tested," and "Homer D'OH," which are laser etched onto the back of most iPods including the iPod Touch, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, and iPod Shuffle.

Each limited edition iPod is numbered since only 2,000 of each will be available through the site. To make it extra special, Simpson fans can further personalize it by adding their name as long as it's under 30 characters long.

How much will this exclusivity cost you? After comparing prices between Apple and The Simpsons store, it looks like you'll be paying an extra $40-$100 to have the Simpsons logo etched on the back. Pretty senseless if you ask me, considering that's all you're getting.
