Kids are heading back to school and will be asking for all kinds of gadgets, so don't be too surprised if this little iPiggie makes its way into the list. Speakal's iPig is an adorable speaker dock system that's compatible with most media devices, and features a very toy-like appearance that would go well in any kid's room.

It's debatable whether iPig is worth $140, but at a glance, the spec sheet reminds us that appearances can be deceiving. First of all, this cute speaker system features five speakers throughout its body that distribute sound at 360-degrees ensuring the whole room is filled with sound. This is particularly great, since the system is not only compatible with iPods, but with gaming consoles, laptops, and even DVD players, definitely displaying a versatility rarely seen in most iPod docks.

Not only is iPig cute, but functional as well especially if you own an iPod. To ensure most iPod's are compatible with the system, Speakal has included an assortment of cradles as well as a remote control that allows you to control your iPod from anywhere in the room. Docking your iPod in this system also recharges it so you don't have to worry about having extra docking stations laying around.

It comes in three colors (yellow, white, and pink) and as you can see from the pictures, the pig's eyes and rear are speakers, the mouth lights up when the system is on, and the ears double as volume controls. This is definitely a fun gift for any student going back to school, the question is, are parent's really going to spend $140 on a speaker system that look like a cheap toy?
