Canon is trying to woo the gals with this new PowerShot E1, which
sports a curvy, retro design in three pastel colors: powder blue, baby pink,
and vanilla. Aside from looking very girly, the new E1 is a ten megapixel
camera, with a 4x optical zoom, image stabilization, face detection, red eye
reduction, a 2.5 inch display, and video capture. I haven't seen any really
unique digital cameras in the market, so I'm really digging the design on this one.
One of the features I haven't seen in other digicams is the Print/Share button that comes in this model. If you own a Pixma Photo All-in-one printer or a compact Selphy photo printer, you can connect the camera to the printer and select the photos you want to print without the need of a computer. This ought to be great for newbies or people who don't have a PC.
You can also print your own ID photos in 28 different sizes, and create a flipbook of your movies by pressing the Movie Print function which outputs multiple stills.
The PowerShot E1 is definitely worth checking out next month when it arrives in stores and sells for the low price of $200.
Girls, what do you think of the E1?

This looks really neat - my 11-yr old daughter has been asking for a camera for her birthday and I think she'll love this one! I was especially looking for the image stabilizer which this one has. I didn't know it had the video capture until I read your blog. She will LOVE that feature! Just hope I can find it locally with her birthday next week!
