Love Guitar Hero, but hate plain guitars? Me too. The personalization
of plastic gaming guitars is now way beyond tacky skins thanks to the introduction of two
custom-designed girly guitars by teen stars Aly &AJ. Don't feel bad if you
don't know who these rocker teens are—I didn't know either. But apparently
the company behind the product, Performance Designed Products (PDP), chose the
cutesy couple for this project due to their star power, popular appeal, musical prowess, and because Miley Cyrus was busy shilling for Rock Band. I'm just kidding.
Anyway, the girls created the two ultra-feminine guitars for tweens and teens which is why the two very pink styles will be available in two different shades of pink: one in the shape of a hot pink Aly & AJ heart logo, and the other covered in brown heart-and-crossbones print.
Both controllers are compatible with either Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and can be played on a Wii or PS2 console. Expect the ultra-feminine guitars to hit stores in mid-October for the retail price of $70 each. You can watch a clip of the unveiling on the E! Network here.
Ladies, what do you think of the pink guitars?
