Fujitsu notebook gets groovy makeover

Personalizing your laptop can be done in a snap with Fujitsu's Lifebook A1110. The notebook sports some decent specs like a Core 2 Duo processor, 3GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, webcam, dual-layer DVD burner, and a 15.4-inch LCD, but what makes this notebook stand out from the company's other notebooks are the three swappable computer lid covers.

Hoping to cash in on the notebook personalization trend, Fujitsu has added interchangeable snap-covers in green, pink, and blue that have distinct patterns such as butterflies, a mod labyrinth, and Victorian print. According to Paul Moore, Fujitsu's Senior Director of Mobile Product Management, the lids are engineered so they easily snap on and snap off the LCD cover.

Apart from the lid personalization option, the A1110 also includes some new neat features like a removable dust filter to keep the vent free from dust particles, and a spill-resistant keyboard that protects the notebook against accidental spills.

The base configuration will set you back around $800, and ships with the green mod cover. Additional covers are sold separately for around $20 each.
