The holiday season is quickly approaching, and it won't be long before you
go searching for a gift that will make your significant other very happy. So
what do you give the man who has it all? Well if he's a gamer, he probably has
all the games and accessories he needs. What he doesn't have is a custom painted
22-inch monitor featuring artwork straight out of a video game.
I Z3D designs special video monitors for gamers capable of displaying 3D images with the help of passive polarized glasses. Right now the company is enhancing several of its monitors by teaming up with Smooth Creations who will be hand-painting stunning video game scenes on its monitors that include red flames, metal panels, skulls, and chains.
You can see the quality of the artwork here, as well as the handful of themes to choose from. The site is not specific as to whether you can add a person's name or suggest other artwork, but I'm sure you could contact them to find out.
A limited edition 3D monitor will set you back about $740, and since the original artwork is only done after you place the order, you'll have to wait about 3 to 4 weeks before it ships.
As far as specifications go, the widescreen monitor includes a 1680 x 1050 resolution, up to 170-degree 3D viewing angle, 5ms response time, 700:1 contrast ratio, and 16.7-million colors.
You could easily find a regular 22-inch monitor for under $500, but if he's a real gamer, he'll definitely appreciate a limited edition 3D monitor that reflects his personality. You can check out the limited edition series over at www.iZ3D.com.
Our team is on it and we should have everything back to normal shortly. Please come back soon.
