What does Wall-E and Roombas have in common? Well they're both cleaning robots,
and the two will be part of an iRobot project called the Wall-E iRobot Roomba
530.
The last time we heard about the Roomba 530 was a year ago before its release so just to refresh your memory, this redesigned model is supposed to be more effective than the original, comes with anti-tangle technology, returns to its charging dock between cleanings, and comes with two Virtual Walls that tell it where to clean.
This particular model will cost you about $300, unless of course it's a limited edition Wall-E Roomba that sport the movie's logo and character on its back. Engadget reports the fancy limited-edition Roomba will be available in Japan to a mere 400 fans willing to pay ¥ 84,500 for one. This exclusive Roomba will go on sale at the Tokyo Disney Resort and the Disney Store on November 20, according to Robot Watch.
Hopefully, American Roomba fans can just personalize theirs for $30 with a Wall-E skin like the ones seen here.
