Belkin's cable makes it easy to switch to Macs

Moving all your files to a new laptop can be a drag. Chris wrote about the Tornado data transfer tool a couple of years ago, which enables you to transfer all your data between two PCs, but what about Macs? Fortunately, those switching from PC to Mac in the future now have a similar option from Belkin called the "Switch-to-Mac Cable."

The cable does exactly what the name suggests and automatically moves all your music, photos, files, and even apps from your Windows-powered computer to your new Mac. Switch-to-Mac is compatible with both XP and Vista, as well as Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5, and includes a copy of Migration Assistant software to move all your data painlessly from one computer to another.

There are definitely others ways to switch to a Mac, but this one is probably the easiest solution for newbies or people who just don't have the time. The cable is available in the U.S. for $50, and will launch in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia in 2009.

    Aren't Apple Stores still doing this for free? Unless you're going to buy your Mac on Amazon or something...
