Parrot's designer digital frame doubles as a mirror

Digital photo frames are great, but most lack features that in my opinion would make them more appealing to the average folk. It wouldn't hurt if they could play personal videos or TV shows either, but I'm sure someone out there is already working on the next generation of digital frames that can do it all.

Parrot commissioned French designer Martin Szekely to create the beautiful SPECCHIO digital photo frame. The frame doubles as a mirror when it's off, and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication (NFC), and a memory card slot. It can basically receive new photos via email, cell phone, and even display photos from a Picasa or Flickr account so you'll never have to stare at the same photo twice. You can even subscribe to your RSS feeds to have friends' photos uploaded straight to the frame.

Photos can still be transferred via USB for those times when your wireless connection is down, and you'll have plenty of room for all your photos since it holds about 1,500 images thanks to Parrot's optimized compression technology which can squeeze them all in only 20MB of on-board memory.

The frame is still not available to U.S. customers, but those living in Europe can find an online store in their area here. No pricing mentioned on the site, but it's selling for about $450 in the UK store. Yikes!
