Awesome gifts for the wired teen

Teenagers are hard to shop for, but the task can get a lot easier if you're buying them tech gifts. There are so many affordable gadgets out there, I've decided to put together a list of the latest gizmos sure to get your teen excited. Juicy Couture Digicam: Teen girls love Juicy Couture so there's no doubt this cute digicam will be a huge seller during the holiday season. The Juicy cam features a silver wrist strap, the JC logo, USB cable, and software, and it can store up to 100 photos. This $45 digicam is a great first-time camera for any teen or tween. If your teen already has one, check out other Juicy Couture tech toys including the iPhone jelly cases, and the mini-digital photo frame key chain which are to die for as your teen would say.

Gadget Gift Card: Teens can be picky, so why not just let them choose their own gifts? Target and Best Buy are now offering $50 cards that double as gadgets. Target's Wow! gift card is a 1.2-megapixel digital camera that holds up to 50 photos, runs on AA batteries, and includes a voucher for 40 free prints. Best Buy is targeting the music lover with a gift card that includes a built-in speaker and mini-headphone jack so they can listen to their MP3 player without damaging their hearing. Both are great options for teens, tweens, or college students.

Zen Mozaic MP3 player: Let's face it, iPods are too expensive, and unless Apple has a big sale on Black Friday, you'll have to consider a more affordable music player for your teen. There are plenty of them out there, but Creative's Zen Mozaic is one of my favorites because it has a voice recorder, alarm clock, FM radio, personal calendar, built-in speakers, and it can hold both music and photos. This player is available in several capacities including 2GB ($60) and 4GB ($80), and you can choose from several colors including gray, black, and pink.

Creative Vado:The YouTube generation wants a video recorder that's affordable, easy to use, and stylish. Personally, I love the Vado because it's as light as a music player and  is so small you can practically carry it in your back pocket. The Vado can store 2GB of recordings, has a two-inch LCD screen, zoom, and a flip-out USB arm, and it comes with software that loads videos straight to the video sharing site. The Vado retails for $100.

Dell Inspiron Mini 9: Netboooks are great for teens. They're cheap, portable, and so hip you'll want to get one for yourself. The Dell Mini 9 features an Atom processor, Windows or Linux, an 8.9-inch LED display, and up to 16GB of storage. You can configure yours, but the most basic model starts at $349. Rumor says Dell's Inspiron Mini 9 will be on sale on Black Friday, so check out the specifications before you buy one. Here are some buying tips to help you pick the right one.
