Speakers come in all shapes and sizes, and I mean all. Check out these curious speakers sure to please the music lover:
MiniGods: You gotta love these "Givers
of Divine Sound" speakers by Victor "Marka27" Quinonez. The design
celebrates music, and are inspired by African, Asian, South and Central American
ancient art and culture. The 16-inch MiniGods come with a full range speaker
and integrated amplifier to bump your music. They are powered by a 9-volt battery,
and have a mini-jack connector compatible with most of your gadgets. Tainted
Visions sells them for a little over $100.
Headphonies: These mini-speakers
are limited edition vinyl style toys created by various artists such as Eran
Weinberg and Jeremey "Mad" Madi. As with all designer toys, only 1,000
pieces are made at a time, and come in a cool little box bundled with a USB
charging cable, a headphone cable, and set of instructions. The little critters
stand about 2.8-inches tall and feature a speaker on the back of head.
Emerson Funkeys Speakers: I'm still trying to figure out what these speakers are supposed to be, but it doesn't matter. Funkeys has a reputation for making cool USB toy drives and I'm sure its speaker line will surely follow. These computer speakers are really affordable at $20, and they're from Funkeys so you can't go wrong with these.
Milk
carton speakers: Aren't these milk-carton shaped speakers cute? Yorozu
Audio's Sound Resolution speaker kit connects to your iPod then turns any
low-density surface into a speaker. Here the empty milk carton becomes the speaker,
but that doesn't mean you have to carry it around. The carton is merely a way
to illustrate the point, plus it looks super cute because it has painted speakers
on the side .
It sells for $51, and is powered by AAA batteries.
Leaf-shaped
key chain: Here's another Japanese invention, this time spotted over at
Akihabara. Bird Electron is selling this cute leaf-shaped key ring with integrated
speaker and audio jack for those who want to share their tunes with a friend.
The $22 speakers are compatible with most music players, and they're so adorable
I wouldn't mind having one.
