I usually don't wake up early or camp out for Black Friday, but this year the
sales will be hard to resist. I'm in the market for a new Blu-ray player, so I can
certainly appreciate this post by Dvice
that says Wal-Mart is about the drop the price on the Magnavox NB500MG9 Blu-ray
player to $128 on Black Friday. That's half-off the retail price.
It seems this player normally sells for $260 in stores, while Wal-Mart sells it for $198, but on Black Friday the price will be too low to pass up. What's even better is that Consumer Reports give it a high score in its latest "Best Electronics" issue, so it's not like you're getting a bad deal here.
Dvice points out that the only thing missing from this player is the BD-Live capability which enables you to access interactive features, but they say this capability is more of a gimmick than a must-have. If you're heading to Wal-Mart on Black Friday, make sure you add this player to your list.

I do believe that was the problem alan. This seems like quite a deal. Perhaps I can get one for my parents, conveniently forgetting that we don't have an HDTV. Then maybe they'll get one...

Was anyone able to get one of these? I never saw one.
