Is Sony finally giving in and releasing a netbook of its own? We think so,
and so does Gizmodo
and Engadget
who have uncovered more evidence on Sony's Japanese website where a flash
banner hints at the upcoming launch of a VAIO netbook. Unlike the sexy Vivienne
Tam HP Mini-Note, this new netbook appears to be thinner, longer, and about
the size of clutch.
This is not the first time teasers have been spotted around the world alluding to the release of a Sony netbook in January. A few days ago, Gizmodo also spotted a curious countdown on Sony's New Zealand website that said that on January 9th "you will change the way you look at laptops. Forever."
We'll probably get all the sordid details about the mysterious Sony netbook at CES. But until then, we'll have to rely on leaked FCC photos and blogger speculation about a netbook that may or may not run Windows, have both EVDO and HSPA, along with Wi-Fi. We'll keep you posted.

Hi MWBUDD. This is Gina Hughes. You can find my blog at www.TechieDiva.com.
Netbooks are great. Something to think about when buying a netbook is a storage, backup solution. I use Egnyte.
