Reader Laurel would like to know: "I heard you say, back in April, that Motorola was going to release three new colors to the RAZR family. I myself am looking forward to the purple phone. You also said these additions would take place this summer. None of the service providers I've seen have adopted them yet. Any idea when they will?"
Funny you ask Laurel, Cingular has just released the RAZR V3i phones through Cingular. You're right, the releases were supposed to take place the first half of 2006, but were apparently delayed. Cingular doesn't list any of the jewel-toned RAZRS on their site, but I did found the RAZR V3i in maroon red and silver in our catalog. Of course, there's always the Dolce & Gabbana version, but I'm sure it costs more than you're willing to pay.
For those who don't know, the anticipated RAZR V3i phone integrates iTunes, 1.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and is a quad-band phone.
Now that the RAZR V3i has been released, it won't be long before they start releasing the other colors. So stay tuned.
Has anyone seen the purple V3i phone out in the wild? Do let us know.
