Next week is the big Apple announcement, and we're all dying to know what's coming down the pipeline. Chris Null has made a few predictions, and I agree that the chances of an iTunes movie downloads is a near certainty. I think the invitation alone says it all, "It's Showtime." iLounge reported earlier today that 4Flix.net accidentally sent out a press release offering $9.99/mo unrestricted access to iPod-ready videos for the new "Apple 6th Generation 16x9 widescreen Video iPod", which would make sense if Apple make movie downloads available. Apple wouldn't be releasing movie downloads, without updating their video iPod, and perhaps introducing other hardware that would entice more movie downloads.
All I can say is that it better be a huge announcement, since Apple already announced they have upgraded their iMacs and Mac mini lines with Intel Core 2 Duo, and Intel Core Duo processors respectively. A widescreen 24-inch iMac display also debuted, joining the existing 17 and 20-inch models. All iMacs include iLife 06, iSight video camera, Front Row, Airport Extreme wireless networking, and Bluetooth among other great features.
If you're planning on purchasing a Mac Mini, now is the time. They have been upgraded with Intel Core Duo processors at no extra cost.
It should be an exciting next week, so stay tuned. We will bring you up to the minute Apple news.

I do not think that Apple should make a newer version of the Video iPod this soon. I mean they just created the Video iPod andso many people bought it right when it came out and not that many people have that kind of money sitting around to buy a new one. I think they should just make it a software update that you can download from Apple's webste, or make it cost like $30 to download. Also i think oit is way to much money to buy a video off of iTunes i mean $9.99-$15.99 for a single video is way too much money. Thats what i think. I cant wait to hear about what other users have to say. taficke@yahoo.com
