I've seen these high-tech beanies before, but never one with controls for your music and your phone. Aside from keeping your head warm and protected, the Audex padded hat by Motorola is tricked out with Bluetooth technology, and a built-in microphone so you don't miss any calls from your posse. Connect your iPod, and you're ready to hit the slopes to the sound of heavy metal tunes coming out of the removable DJ-styled headphones.
But if you're a thrill-seeking, extreme sports enthusiast who needs more than a padded beanie to protect your head, the Audex Helmet has your name written all over it. It's wired with the same Motorola Bluetooth wireless system as the Audex padded hat, so you can take calls or crank up the tunes on this one too.
I totally recommend this helmet to anyone who plans to take tech on the road, because if you read my post, you will know that tech and sports don't always mix.

hey, I've had music in my ears while riding for ages, a neat little invention called headphones. They are so 2007.
This is the stupidest product I have seen in a while. Do you REALLY need Bluetooth when you are riding? Get off the phone for once.
hmmmm. i wonder if blue_betta works for Audex. People don't talk like that! Great convergence of form and function. After-slope cool downs! lol
Yeah, I don't think I want to be on the hill with anyone whos talking on a cell phone while boarding. But the bluetooth is cool, especially if you have a bluetooth adapter for your iPod. But I already have a hard time hearing people on the mountain, I get so focused on what I am doing that I don't hear things, so perhaps music would not help me.

Awesome! Such a great convergence of form and function. The cellphone adaptor feature sounds cool for after-slope cool dowsn, but I wonder how much more dangerous skiing will be while on a call. The ability to pipe your tunes to your helmet is the best thing since sliced bread; if I lived near mountains, I'd buy one of these even for just a day of snowboarding!
