Reader JlGoldman1 wants to know if there is a tip or workaround to save your cell phone data without paying a monthly fee to your carrier or another service.
This question is in regard to a post about cell phone backup services provided by U.S Carriers. The main concern for readers seemed to be the recurring monthly charge.
I offered an alternative to paying a monthly fee by suggesting a few devices that would also do the job without monthly fees, and my second alternative is data syncing software to store cell phone data on your computer.

Before you buy this type of software make sure it comes with any necessary cables you need or else you'll end up spending more money. You also want to make sure the software is compatible with your phone.
