Print Lovin' on Your Toast

You might remember the "Virgin Mary" cheese sandwich that caused quite a stir when it sold on eBay for $28,000. Well, last week I stumbled upon the Holy Toast miracle bread stamper, a plastic stamp that leaves a Virgin Mary impression on toast.

I know people create food sculptures all the time, but I think a toast stamping club may be forming somewhere out there.

Adam over at Sci-Fi Tech says the Zuse is the wave of the future. This conceptual toaster printer burns black and white pictures onto pieces of toast. It can mount on any wall, and is automatically activated when you slide in a slice of bread.

Unfortunately, it only prints abstract pictures held in its memory, but Adam says he would like to see it do some toast messaging.

Now that companies are using text messages to fire employees, I think one less texting device is a better idea. I sure wouldn't want a picture of Donald Trump doing his cobra hand thingie on my toast.

I love toast, but I'm not sure we need to have images printed on it. What do you think?

I think having a machine that is specifically designed to print food is a waste of time. I gotta' say I love the toast, but I don't need my food to be kitsch, or my water from FIJI

Seriously? People are getting paid to make these things? Wow, I am totally in the wrong business.

Ok it is a useless device, but I think it would be a cool thing to do when having people over for dinner... just to decorate and make toast different than usual.

Wow...are you kidding me? I cant believe some pathetic person actually wasted his or her time by sitting down, thinking up this idea, and then following through to see it to fruition...this transcends novelty...There is no possible reason that anything like this should exist. Wow...someone burned a picture of an elk onto my toast...I care so much I'm going to eat my toast with my breakfast and forget about it in 2 seconds...good thing someone spent $500 on this piece of garbage. Why can't people use their obvious windfalls of free time to invent something that is actually useful to society rather than wasting their existence thinking up idiotic trash like this. Sorry to be so negative but this is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard of and I guess it pushed the right buttons.

I think it's cool! Perfect for coaxing children with bad appetites to eat! Images could be of the current cartoon crazes - they could also offer seasonal designs (I love the deer!)! Of course, I'm also one of those adults that LOVE this kind of stuff! I'm still upset over the fact that they don't sell tennis shoes that light up/twinkle when you walk for adults! I'd wear them all the time - and they'd be great for running at night! :)

another sick thing we sure don't need in this crazy worldof ours. Jackie

I completely agree. That's completely useless. Why would anyone want a picture on a piece of bread. You put peanut butter on bread, not artwork! I also agree that their grammar is a little off.

I don't caer much about the toaster, but astro making remarks about grammar and then forgetting that "it's" when used as a contraction needs an apostrophe is more than annoying. Pot... kettle...

I agree with lindsey_112_14103 - yeah, the thing is essentially useless, and yeah, the world can live without it, but hey, I think its a clever invention. No one out there can tell me that they wouldn't want to see it in action...

What is this world coming too? I thought that "the virgin mary on the cheese sandwich" was ridiculous & stupid and this is just putting the icing on the cake. I'll tell you something else; people with too much time on their hands. Grab a book and read will ya!!!!

I think having it preinted on toast would soften the blow of almost any bad news.

I think it's a fun idea. It's a great way to get kids to eat breakfast.
