You might remember the "Virgin Mary" cheese sandwich that caused quite a stir when it sold on eBay for $28,000. Well, last week I stumbled upon the Holy Toast miracle bread stamper, a plastic stamp that leaves a Virgin Mary impression on toast.
I know people create food sculptures all the time, but I think a toast stamping club may be forming somewhere out there.
Adam over at Sci-Fi Tech says the Zuse is the wave of the future. This conceptual toaster printer burns black and white pictures onto pieces of toast. It can mount on any wall, and is automatically activated when you slide in a slice of bread.
Unfortunately, it only prints abstract pictures held in its memory, but Adam says he would like to see it do some toast messaging.
Now that companies are using text messages to fire employees, I think one less texting device is a better idea. I sure wouldn't want a picture of Donald Trump doing his cobra hand thingie on my toast.
I love toast, but I'm not sure we need to have images printed on it. What do you think?

have fun... its breakfast... who cares... no one said YOU had to buy it!
live a little...come on it's a cool thing!! sure, it's probably a fad..but so were bell bottoms in the 70's..they came back!!
Pogo has had there toaster that puts the Pogo logo on Toast for over a year now.... not new!
I agree with you all of you...cute at first...but a waste of money...lets use money towards a better cause....
What's next? Imprinting your buns on your buns? I rank this right up there, in socially redeeming value, with pet rocks only with more calories.
i think astro wanabe wants to be a little too rude and pick out what doesn't really matter in an article. since i basically did that too AND chose not to capitalize things that should be capitalized, i will now comment on the toaster. it's an interesting novelty that will soon be on VH1's "I Love the 00's"
My kids would love this... there needs to be a home version.
Nothing new about this. I've had a plastic stamp for about 20 years that prints "good morning" I think i might have used it once even though it still lives in my breadbox.
cool
I think it's a dumb idea. Unless the picture is going to give it a different taste...don't bother. It's pointless.
I would like to see one that says Hippy's go home to all of you tree hugging dems and Moon bats who use this place to says things like "How about one with a circle and inside the circle it says "GOP" then a diagonal line through the circle?" This is fricken toast here not your political platform to post your Hippy beliefs. Why dont they invent a way to make people like you shave there armpits and use deodorant :)
I think it is cute, but there are so many other useful things people need to do with their time, don't you? A toaster that makes pictures????
What about the stamps that they make where you stamp the bread before putting it in the toaster and then the image appears when it pops up? I had a Mickey Mouse when my daughter was little and have others now that I haven't yet used as my son likes peanut butter on his toast which sort of defeats the purpose!!!!
i agree wit u
Probably dreamed up by some hippie democrat college student smoking pot, and now its all the rage. As a military member, I say down with all the hippie bull$hit!
If it helps my kid eat his breakfast, give it to me!!
What's next? Imprinting a picture of my buns on my buns? (Would probably require a bigger toaster.) For socially redeeming value, I rank this right up there with pet rocks, only with more calories.
Actually, its not a waste of time, anything new has to be in some way, useful to society, but it is quite strange. Although I'd probably buy it!
I'd buy it!

Good grief ~ there are people starving here in the good, ol' USA, and we're thinking of putting messages on toast. How pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
