Cut the Cord, Go Wireless!

If you're still going to the gym with white earbuds that get all tangled up after each workout, it's time to go wireless. Just imagine getting a decent workout without fear of getting your earbuds yanked out of your ear accidentally. Here are my picks of the latest wireless headphone alternatives for athletic music fans:

Logitech Wireless Headphones for iPod

Logitech's wireless headphones for iPod are light enough to use while jogging or working out at the local gym. A Bluetooth transmitter plugs into the iPod giving you complete control of your music library through four buttons located on the right earphone. You can still adjust the volume or change tracks on your player while it safely rests in the treadmill's cup holder or inside a nearby gym bag.

Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones

Similar to the headphones I just mentioned, Logitech's FreePulse headphones come with a wireless Bluetooth 2.0 transmitter that works with most iPods and other audio players. They weigh about 2.1 ounces so they won't weigh you down and have flexible rings to keep them fastened to your ears. Enjoy wireless music while you jog, garden, or walk the dog.

Etymotic ety8

These rectangular devices held together by a cord are Etymotic's ety8, a pair of Bluetooth headphones that work with cell phones, iPods, or other Bluetooth devices. I know, the iPod is not Bluetooth-enabled, but they do include an attachment for it with the $300 model. These headphones will be released soon, but despite it's great sound quality, the design is just a tad different.
