As you know, it's impossible to find a Sony PS3 or a Nintendo Wii in stores. Any time I stop by a Best Buy or a Sony store, I ask if they have the PS3, just in case. Sources tell me that Best Buy has been getting a handful of them at least once a week, and by a "handful," I mean about four consoles. Prices have started to drop on eBay and Craigslist but still expect to pay at least $200 over MSRP.
This weekend may be the last chance you have to redeem yourself and still surprise your boyfriend/girlfriend with a PS3 for Christmas. Many retailers will be advertising the Wii and PS3 in the Sunday papers, claiming it's in stock, but if you wait until you read these ads you'll miss your chances of actually getting one. American Technology Research analyst P. J. McNealy tells USA Today that he expects people to start camping out on Saturday again to increase chances of nabbing a console on the last big shopping day of the year. Meanwhile, CrunchGear also is making claims that a reliable source tells them Amazon will offer Wii and PS3 consoles online soon.
Let's hope this is true because I need to get a PS3 under the tree soon. I hope Sony does in fact ship 2 million PS3s worldwide before the end of the year, as the company told reporters, or else there will be a lot of disappointed gamers this Christmas season.
Update: I'm happy to report that I finally got a 60GB PlayStation 3 under the tree. Yes, I was waiting in line at the crack of dawn with the best of them. I got mine by pure luck, but Circuit City came through after all. Most people in line yesterday were buying Wiis, and I heard the Best Buy, Toys R Us in my area only had about 30 in stock at the time. Hope you guys got one, but if you didn't keep checking those stores.

ha I got a wii u didnt i didnt even camp out or give my money to an ebay troll :p hahaha lol
I can't afford this or anything else for christmas, but it would be a nice gift for my grandsons.
Only days away from Christmas to get these. I know most workers are not aware of these shipments themselves. You still got time and luck within the gap so keep checking. All systems are of your own personal use so buy what you like and forget what others think about them. These are still new systems and barely in their infant stages.
Got a PS3 at local Toys 'R' Us. Actually had quite a few in stock when I was there. Woo-hoo!

I would have thought that the first person offended by this article would have been so by the mention of "Christmas" as opposed to "Holiday" season. And yes, how dare the writer actually write to an audience.
