After walking the halls at CES, most of us are ready to try out those massage chairs we see everywhere. So I gladly agreed to a quick hands-on (or sit-down) demo of the Fuji Chair, the most luxurious medical massage chair I've ever sat on. The model I tried was the top of the line, called the Cyber-Relax SKS 1850. As soon as I sat down, the chair scanned my spinal alignment with the 3D Point Navi system, which pinpointed the area that needed the most attention. In this case, my upper back/shoulders area needed some TLC. I'm sure this is due to spending too much time hunched over a laptop every day.
As soon as I sat down, the first thing the chair did was create a massage program that would work on this tense area. The chair uses air, heat, vibrations, and stretching movements to massage the entire body simultaneously. Needless to say, I enjoyed it fully. Bags of air would compress to massage my hands, shoulders, feet, and hip area. It was love at first try! Unfortunately, the $7,000 price tag means I won't be bringing one home any time soon, although I did hear several companies are buying them by the bulk for their employees. Must be nice!
