Do you have a favorite blog you like to read every morning? I hope Yahoo! Tech is one of those blogs, but what if I were to tell you about a new service that will make it easier for you to get your daily fix...straight from your iPod?
It's estimated that the average online reader will visit more than 35 different web sites on a daily basis, although I'm convinced most of us have more than 35 favorite blogs we read every day. And guess where we're reading them? You guessed it, the office. Shocker. According to AdAge, "one in four people in the labor force visit blogs and on average spend 3.5 hours, or 9 percent of the work week engaged in them." In a time when employers monitor your every move online, it would be wise to take extra precautions by downloading content to your personal thumb drive or iPod instead of leaving tracks of your surfing habits on your PC.
But how do you download blogs?
Odiogo is the first service of its kind that downloads your favorite blogs into your iPod, even if those blogs don't actually have a podcast. This has to be the easiest way for bloggers to become podcasters without lifting a finger. Odiogo is a web application that will easily convert text entries into high-fidelity voice files ready to play in iPods, MP3 players, phones, and laptops. The program extracts articles from sites that have subscribed to the service, then hosts the audio files on their servers. Think of Odiogo as a DVR for blogs. It saves your favorite content which you can rewind, play, and even fast-forward through right from your iPod or computer. The audio quality of these voice files is simply superb. You can't get a better audio quality from a free service, and did I mention this is free to bloggers?
Odiogo has revamped their service, and is inviting bloggers to sign up for this service free of charge. All bloggers have to do after subscribing, is post a link to their Odiogo podcast feed so their visitors can easily download these audio files or even signup for future articles via iTunes. If you're a blogger, why not sign up for Odiogo, and offer your audience another way they can enjoy your wonderful writing, without compromising their day job. And yes, thanks to this service you can get this feed straight to your iPod by subscribing to iTunes. Thanks, Odiogo! I'm sure my active readers will benefit from this awesome service.

I recently updated my internet browser with Microsof Internet Explorer 7 update. Lo and behold, this update changes your home page to "http://go.microsft.com/fwlink/?LinkId-69157". I have tried many times to change back to My Yahoo, but it keeps going back to the above. Do you have any advise on how to disable that link? Thanks in advance. abdpfig

Fabulous! I've just tried it. I totally agree the audio quality is amazing. I'm definitely gonna use it starting today to listen to all my favorite blogs. Such a great free tool... odiogo ... ! Thanks for writing about it!
