If you own an iPod, here's another reason to hold off on that Windows Vista upgrade. Apparently, iTunes users have reported a series of issues between iTunes and the new Windows operating system. Some of more serious issues reported include possible corruption of the iPod even when "safely" ejecting it from the Windows System Tray, iTunes Store purchases may not play on Vista, and iPod models with the "Enable Disk Use" option turned off may be unable to update or restore iPod software, as well as make changes to iPod settings.
Apple is now recommending iTunes users wait a few weeks for the release of the new iTunes before upgrading to Vista, which they hope will address most of these compatibility issues. If you've already updated your operating system or bought a Windows Vista PC, they recommend you do the following:
If that doesn't work, try running the iTunes Repair Tool for Vista after re-installing iTunes 7.0.2. You can find more information regarding this topic on the Apple support site.
Have any of you experienced these issues?

What a putz.. duck breath The most recent OS of 10 million lines of code from MS is thrust ,with minimal testing in the wild, upon the deluded scores of W users and you want to blame the OS where everything works the first time for the problem. I smell MacEnvy.
I don't know if it does work. I have been having some problems. Back in Sept I bought a new computer. Vista. I uploaded Itunes and it worked for a while then the computer started to freeze. I have been working with Dell. I thought is was something to do with the comp, turns out it is Itunes. Everytime I play my music loud b/c I am working around the house or I am just moving around the computer will freeze. 95% of the time it is when I am playing music bought from the itunes store.

Apple has had plenty of time to work with Vista and iTunes. I know that Microsoft has had beta versions of Vista available for over a year to test software with. This is just sloppy workmanship on Apple's side.
