Here's hoping these machines come to a gym near you. Born Rich came across the coolest workout machine I've seen since the Bowflex. When I first saw it, I thought the LCD was there to watch TV while you work out, but looks were deceiving.
The Interactive Personal Trainer System connects to the Internet to download exercise routines created by fitness professionals to show you the correct way to exercise during your workouts. The library contains a selection of 120 movements, and keeps track of the previous weight lifted so you can gradually increase the resistance. A touch LCD screen allows easy navigation of the menu, while the integrated computer suggests exercises based on your fitness goals. It also tracks your workout progress with graphs, which comes in handy when you need a little motivational kick to keep working out.
The machine is way too expensive for the average consumer ($16,000), but it's great to hear they're already out there, and hopefully coming to a fancy gym near you.
