Those tech savvy kids can't live without their Macs and MTV these days, and designers are taking notice—as well as making a profit. Roberta Ramme designed what is probably the swankiest, high-tech lounging chaise for hip youngsters of all ages. Check out the Wave Chaise complete with a wall to hang up a flat panel display on one side, and a workstation that holds a computer monitor on the other.
The futuristic looking chair features plenty of shelves to hold DVDs, CDs, books, treasured knick-knacks, as well as an ergonomic contour chaise, that doesn't look very comfortable—but very well may be. It's marketed towards teens, but if this chair is ever available, I'll be the first to get one for my office.
The chaise is only a design concept, meaning you won't find one at Ikea just yet; but like with everything else if the idea generates enough buzz, she may get some funding to start manufacturing. I say, you go girl! Get this chaise idea going, so I can put one in my office soon. Just hold off on the flower power design.

I'm guessing that wouldn't be cheap...

Hmmm, I don't think the younger generations will be utilizing the shelves for CDs... unless they really go retro. Making the whole item networkable with upgradeable wireless/bluetooth features as well as a spot for a cpu and pre-wired usb/firewire... that would be cool.
