The BET Awards are tonight. Dying to know what's inside the BET Awards Swag Bag?
Yesterday, I stopped by the Backstage Creations celebrity retreat at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles to check out the swag that will be presented to big stars like Diddy, Beyonce and Jaime Foxx. Bentley (pictured above) was in the house sipping on Cosmos, and also checking out some of the fabulous gear.
The swanky retreat was decorated with paintings by local Venice Beach artist William Attaway, and drinks were provided by the uber-charismatic Margarita King and 267 Infused Alchohol. The swag bag included diamond watches from Rapstor, Rocawear clothing, hair extensions by the Wig Diva, Andre Ross handbags, and other great stuff.
My focus was particularly set on the gadgets, of course. So I managed to make my way to check out the Pocket Surfer by Edge Tech. The Pocket Surfer is a cell phone accessory that takes Internet surfing to the next level. Mobile smartphone owners who need constant access to the web while they're out on the road, will like this device. The Pocket Surfer connects to the web via any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone so you can easily get online to send email, text, or surf the web while you're out.Â
The keyboard layout is great and has enough room between keys so you don't struggle while typing. Hence the name, the Pocket Surfer is slim enough to fit in your pocket or purse, yet the screen is wide (640 pixels wide) enough to deliver full web pages in under 7 seconds. So instead of lugging around a full-size notbook to connect to the web, Pocket Surfer owners will be able to whip out the small device to check stock, email or update their online diaries anywhere they are even if there is no Wi-Fi connection. I'm hoping to get a review unit, and once I do, I promise you a more detailed review.
Sky Mall was also in the retreat handing out gift certificates to guests, but the main attraction for me was the Turbosonic machine that helps you burn 150 calories in 10 minutes! More on that later.
So are you watching the awards tonight?   Â
