Theeerrreee heeerrreeee! And for $50, you don't even have to push buttons anymore. Remember the days when you had to get off your chair to change the channel on your TV set? Then came the remote control, and all that back and forth exercise changed to button pushing. Now, we don't even have to push buttons anymore! How lazy are we?

InVoca's Voice Activated Remote Control controls your TV, VCR, DVD, cable and satellite all with the sound of your voice. It has over 54 voice commands like volume control, channel changing, and you can even dictate multi-step functions with a single command. This means you can change the channel on your TV and play a DVD all at once.

I'll tell you why I like this. First, I'm not allowed near our fancy TV remote control anymore, because I tend to forget all the commands, and immediately resort to button pushing. You have to understand, our remote control is very sophisticated, and it drives me a little crazy when it doesn't do what I want it to do. I have gotten a little better, but I can see sweat dripping off my husband's forehead when I make a move for it.

This remote will recognize up to four voices, and all you have to do is program it. So next time I decide to use our fancy TV, I can walk in the room and say "DVD", and hopefully everything will happen all at once. No more guessing games.

That should make husbands all over the world happy. What do think? Are you allowed near your remote control?

What I want to know, does it control MUTE? Think how grand it would be to just say "TV Mute" when commercials come on! Better yet, a program to automatically mute commercials over 30 seconds long as they start.

This looks like it might work well for my father. He is elderly and bedridden. Some of the time when he is in the room by himself, or mom falls asleep, he is not able to change the channel. A voice activated remote is great he can only use one hand and a remote is difficult for him.
