Searching for a domain can be a frustrating experience, no question. At a typical domain search site, you type in the name you want, click Enter, wait up to a minute, then are informed that the domain isn't available. Maybe you're offered some completely awful alternative domains instead.
Instant Domain Search is definitely the best domain name tool I've ever tried. Why? It offers results instantly, in real time, as you type the name in. Just click on over and give it a try to see what I mean. You type the name, and ".com," ".net," and ".org" boxes show up red (for taken) or green (for available). Don't like the sea of red? Just delete a few characters and try something else, add a hyphen, or maybe plot an "s" at the end.
Instant Domain Search's genius is in its simplicity and its speed, and the tool makes it much easier to experiment with names than ever before. There's even a short-term saving system (just hit Ctrl+S) to save each potential new name you like for a fuller evaluation later. There's no registration required of any kind.
I've bookmarked it. Give it a spin!
Thanks, Lifehacker!
