This week's story of a driver too clueless to use common sense in the face of clearly wrong directions comes from the town of Glubczyce, in southwest Poland, where a mini-bus driver happily followed instructions to drive "straight into a lake."

I don't know if the above photo is a picture of his actual bus or of another guy stuck in a lake, but I like to believe it is, because it's so awesome.

The driver and two passengers were found perched on the roof by rescue officials and were treated in a hospital for shock. According to the above story, it's not all their fault: A road used to exist there until the valley was flooded to become a lake.

The unnamed driver at least joins good company, including a woman who drove her $150,000-plus Mercedes into a British river, an octogenarian German who crashed into a pile of sand in the middle of the road, a Czech driver who was trapped in a semi truck for three days after his truck got wedged in a narrow alley, and two different New Yorkers who followed GPS instructions that took them onto the same set of railroad tracks.

Wired now reports that 300,000 British drivers have crashed due to the handy mapping devices.

Due to space constraints, I am unable to list them all here.

I didn't even laugh when they did an episode on this very thing on "The Office" because it seemed too far-fetched and therefore not funny. I'm laughing now!
