This week you're going to be inundated with news about sales for Black Friday, which is now just four days away. The data can get overwhelming, and it's hard to remember from one link to the next where the absolute best deals are going to be.
Here's some help: The good people at Retrevo have offered up an extensive yet well-organized guide to the best Black Friday electronics deals around, broken down by product category and including everything you'll need to know if you want to be one of the lucky few who nab one of these big discounts. Remember: Most Black Friday deals are offered in limited quantities and are available only to the first people through the door. In many cases that means lining up well before dawn if you want a shot.
Here are some suggestions drawn from the Retrevo guide on where to best pick your battles.
> 42-inch Sharp widescreen LCD TV from Dell.com, $779
> 15.4-inch HP notebook with 3GB RAM from Office Depot, $350
> Garmin nuvi 205 GPS from Best Buy, $120
> 10-megapixel Kodak camera from Target, $89
> Dell Inspiron 530s desktop with 2GB RAM from Dell.com, $300
> Maxtor 250GB external hard drive from Office Max, $70
> Linksys Rangeplus Wi-Fi router from Office Max, $40
To get the complete guide (in PDF format), you need to provide an email address at Retrevo. Otherwise, it's no strings attached. Check it out here -- it's also chock full of additional tips and general strategies for getting the very best deals on Black Friday.

You're 100% correct thanks, I made some great shot last year on my Canon 40D ISO 100 bulb setting. bulb is not a fla----- s a setting in pro camera manuel mode.
i guess this is a yearly post for you eh? XD
You forgot the most important tip - dont stand over the fireworks expecting to catch a firecracker (or M80) exploding on the ground, or a bottle rocket or roman candle as they launch.
Good article. I think I'll try some of this stuff with my A590IS. Another tip for those whose camera does not have those settings, if it is a Cannon, try the CHDK firmware. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK It adds a ton of extra features including the ones mentioned in this article (rapid fire, long exposures, etc).
